Book with Confidence

Who would have thought back in March 2020 that we would still be seeing the impact of Covid-19 on the world today. While the situation is improving in some countries, it is still very much an uncertain world. We are sure many of you are looking forward to booking a new adventure holiday but are understandably holding back. Since the beginning of the pandemic, NWF has been 100% flexible regarding refunds and the opportunity to change to different dates or trips without any cost. We are happy to extend these conditions until further notice.

Full refund

We offer a no-quibble refund if NWF has to cancel your holiday because of Covid-19 reasons. This could be a national lock-down, travel restrictions, or if you have to quarantine when coming into the countries where we operate (Scotland and the Faroe Islands). Alternatively, you could change to another date or trip free of charge.

Covid-19 flexible booking promise

  • We have reduced the balance payment term to 30 calendar days before departure.
  • You are allowed to cancel your holiday up until 30 calendar days before departure. We will give you a full refund of your deposit payment.
  • Between 29 and 8 calendar days before your departure, you could change to another date or trip free of charge.
  • If you cancel within 7 calendar days before your departure, our standard booking conditions apply.

Travel Insurance

We always advise our clients to take out holiday insurance to cover cancellation, loss of possessions, medical emergency (non-UK clients) etc. We can recommend getting in touch with Campbell Irvine, who are specialists in cover for adventure holidays. They now also offer travel insurance with extensive Covid-19 cover.

Travel with Confidence

The safety of our clients and our staff is of utmost importance to us. Guided by the WTTC (World Travel & Tourism Council), local government regulations and others, we have put together strict protocols and guidelines. Please find below a summary of the measures we have put in place.

Leaders

Our leaders/guides have been specially trained and briefed on the Covid-19 protocols. On arrival, they will inform you about the procedures to keep you and the group safe. This will include when to wear a face mask, sanitising regime etc. During a trip, it could mean that your leader/guide has to make adjustments to the itinerary to, for example, avoid bigger crowds.

Accommodation

We will only use accommodation committed to minimising the risk of transmission and following local regulations to be Covid Compliant. This would include stricter cleaning of rooms and communal areas, availability of hand sanitiser and social distancing measures, for example at breakfast.

Restaurants

We will only use restaurants committed to minimising the risk of transmission and following local regulations to be Covid Compliant. This would include stricter cleaning of communal areas and toilets, availability of hand sanitiser, food safety and social distancing measures.

Attractions

On some trips, we visit attractions, museums, distilleries etc. They will be operating based on their protocols, which could reduce the number of guests allowed to ensure social distancing. Your leader will do his/her best to keep these visits as planned. However, he/she might have to change the visiting times or day. Your leader will discuss the options with you and other group members.

Transport

We will disinfect our busses regularly during the day. There will be hand sanitisers available for the group members to use before entering the vehicle. Where social distancing is not possible, your leader will advise you to use a face mask.

For now, stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to meeting you on one of our adventures soon.
